It doesn't matter that the Father's day card was ripped open and sellotaped up before you had chance to open it- and there are alterations to the text in a different coloured pen, and that the price tag is still on it.
It wouldn't matter if I hadn't got you a card at all.
You know how much we love you and how important you are to us. You know that we listen to your opinions, respect your advice. We don't need to tell you that we are proud of you, and consider ourselves so lucky that you are our father.
